E-lluminate

This is an A2 poster I designed for a imaginary Design conference "Elluminate 2010". It folds up to become the cover sleeve for the conference info booklet.

My Hero

Awhile back I had the amazing opportunity to go to Semi-Permanent. The night before the two-day design conference began,  Misery and James Jean held an exhibition at Plaything Gallery. I was so excited to meet my all time favourite artist, Mr. Jean. I managed to get a sketch,signature and to top it all off -  a photo of my friend Phil and I, with the man himself! (Not) Into the wild

This is a pen+watercolour painting exploring relationships between the zoo animals + the botanical garden plants/flowers. Such as the similarities between 'Bird of Paradise' flower and the Pelican. A2 in size, click to enlarge.

Tribute to Schiele

This is a portrait attempting to be in the style of Egon Schiele. I began with a sketch and developed the colour through digital painting.

School Journal Entry

This is another piece for our illustration class, a chance at a live brief for Learning Media - for the School Journal. Here is my take on the story (first double page spread). I went for a comic-book aesthetic; thick lines and solid colours as I think this would appeal to the target demographic (9-11yr olds).

A cover!

After doing pages for 'Ellipsis', creator of Waterfront Publishing (Kieran Clarkin) asked me to do a colour cover for the comic! I was stoked. Here it is before title and frames were added...
