Bathtime

This little guy is my new favourite person to draw. It helps that he is a good looking baby. Digital painting for Robin- also thanks to everyone came to Bodega Bar last night for this exhibition and gig, raised heaps of money for a good cause, so that's awesome! (click for full picture)

Op-shopin' Gold

This is an old painting I dug up in a local op-shop. I had a play with the gold spray paint and made some stencils and gave it to a friend for christmas. I love old paintings like this, something about the vintage aspect always gets me.

Ex-Divers

I am finally getting back into painting after some time away from it. This is an acrylic on canvas -  fusing my two favourite things of the moment; a band called "The xx" who have awesome graphics/logo design (along with fresh, epic music) - and the other being old-time fashion photography, particulary this one of George Hoyningen-Huene 1930s "Divers". 

E-lluminate

This is an A2 poster I designed for a imaginary Design conference "Elluminate 2010". It folds up to become the cover sleeve for the conference info booklet.

My Hero

Awhile back I had the amazing opportunity to go to Semi-Permanent. The night before the two-day design conference began,  Misery and James Jean held an exhibition at Plaything Gallery. I was so excited to meet my all time favourite artist, Mr. Jean. I managed to get a sketch,signature and to top it all off -  a photo of my friend Phil and I, with the man himself! (Not) Into the wild

This is a pen+watercolour painting exploring relationships between the zoo animals + the botanical garden plants/flowers. Such as the similarities between 'Bird of Paradise' flower and the Pelican. A2 in size, click to enlarge.

Tribute to Schiele

This is a portrait attempting to be in the style of Egon Schiele. I began with a sketch and developed the colour through digital painting.

School Journal Entry

This is another piece for our illustration class, a chance at a live brief for Learning Media - for the School Journal. Here is my take on the story (first double page spread). I went for a comic-book aesthetic; thick lines and solid colours as I think this would appeal to the target demographic (9-11yr olds).
